At this screen check to make sure JV16 will install where/how you want it to then click 'Install'.
At this screen you can check either one or leave them blank. Click 'Finish' when done.
Using JV16 Power Tools
Bring up JV16 program and you will see this screen. Click on 'Registry tool'.
Next, on this screen click on 'Tools' then 'Registry cleaner'.
After clicking on 'tools'/'registry cleaner' you see the screen below. Click 'Continue'. Do not change any of the settings on this screen.
On this screen you see all the checked boxes. If this is the first time JV16 has been run on the pc, uncheck all but 2 boxes at the bottom. Then run the registry cleaner. Bring up JV16 a second time and add 2-4 checked boxes, starting just above the 2 checked boxes you started with. Do this till all boxes are checked and JV16 has been run. I do this because many times you will get 2 or 3 hundred keys that can be removed, first time around, but the program will freeze up, so do it as described and you wont have any freezeing problems.
Click 'Start'.
After JV16 has found all keys that you can delete (Green dots), you can check, at first, 2-4 boxes. Again, do this step as described or you might freeze up. After you see that 2-4 is alright then add a few more boxes for each 'removal' and you will get the 'feel' as to how many you can remove at a time.
Note the info displayed at the top for each box you put a check in.
Click 'Remove' to delete the keys you have checked.
When you have cleaned up all Green dots then click 'Close' for this screen and the next screen. Then click 'Exit'.
I have used this program on 95 through XP and as long as you cleanup ONLY the Green dots you will be ok.
